Orders due March 26, 2010.Adopt-A-Highway, Sunday, April 11, 2010. Time to be determined. Volunteers needed!! All volunteers need to attend a brief safety meeting prior to the clean-up date. If you are interested call the JCCD office at 517-784-2800 x214.
Earth Day Celebration in the Park, Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Sparks (Cascades) Park from 1:00-4:00p.m.
Native Plant Sale, Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the JCCD parking lot, 211 W. Ganson St.

Annual Tree Seedling Sale
The annual tree seedling sale helps to support conservation programs and technical assistance in Jackson County as well as encourage tree planting for conservation and beautification of our county. The sale takes place in the spring. Pre-orders are always encouraged! The tree sale is a community event and any volunteers are more than welcome to participate! If you would like more information about the tree sale, or to be added to our mailing list, please contact Lori at the Conservation District Office.
Update! Spring 2010 Tree Sale
The Spring 2010 tree sale catalogs are in the mail!! Orders for the Spring tree sale are due at the office by March 26, and the tree pickup dates are Friday, April 16 from 9am-6pm and Saturday, April 17 in the morning from 9am to 12 noon, at the Jackson County Airport. The exact location will be determined closer to pick-up date and will be posted right here, along with a map.

We are in the process of improving our website, so be patient, we will have an opportunity to order online using Paypal coming soon!!
In the meantime, following is a list of trees we are offering this spring: Black Spruce, Blue Spruce, Canadian Hemlock, Douglas Fir, Fraser Fir, Norway Spruce, Red Pine, White Cedar, and White Pine. The deciduous trees and shrubs being offered are American Sycamore, Black Cherry, Burr Oak, Eastern Redbud, American Hazelnut, Shagbark Hickory, Red Maple, Sugar Maple, Tulip Poplar, White Birch, White Oak, Black Chokeberry, American Elderberry, Highbush Cranberry, Nannyberry, Red Osier Dogwood, Alleghany Serviceberry, White Flowering Dogwood and Winterberry. Fruit trees are Gold Rush, Honeycrisp, Jonagored, PaulaRed, and Wolf River Apple Trees, Balaton and White Gold Cherry Trees, and Flamin’ Fury and Redhaven Peach Trees.
