Adopt-A-Stream Monitoring Program

JCCD coordinates the Upper Grand River Watershed Adopt-A-Stream program.  This program uses trained adult volunteers to collect aquatic organisms from the Grand River and its tributaries in the spring and fall each year.  The data we collect under the Adopt-A-Stream program helps us assess water quality and the health of the Upper Grand River Watershed.

We’re having our spring Adopt-A-Stream event on Saturday, May 6 from 1-4 pm.

This event is a fun way to get out and enjoy the start of spring, and you’ll be helping us monitor our water quality in the Jackson area!

For questions or to sign up to volunteer for the event, contact Aleta at 517-395-2089 or
