Cost Share Programs

Farmers and landowners commonly come to us to ask for help.  One of the ways we can help is to find government programs that provide money to help with conservation projects.  Fortunately, JCCD shares office space with the federal USDA—Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).  Andrew Gust is the District Conservationist with NRCS.  Andrew works with producers throughout the county to develop conservation plans for their operations and enroll them in federal cost-share programs that assist with implementing Best Management Practices to protect soil and water resources.

To read more about some of these programs, you can visit the Michigan program page at the NRCS website.  In particular, pay attention to the following programs.  And be sure to call our office to talk to us about how we can help you apply for funding.
