Annual Native Plant Sale
Native plants are the flowers, grasses, trees and shrubs that have lived in Michigan since before European settlement. Since these plants originate from Michigan, they are often better able to withstand our unique climate and soils than their cultivated counterparts. Native perennials are also a great way to add color to your gardens and attract butterflies, song birds and other wildlife!
For more information about the native perennial sale, contact Lori at the Conservation District Office.
This year’s sale will be a joint venture with the Master Gardener’s, Men’s Garden Club and Women’s Garden Club and will be held on May 21, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at the Jackson County Fair Grounds. The sale will close at noon or when supplies run out!!
The Conservation District is offering the chance to pre-order certain Native Plant species this year. Please have these orders to the District office by May 6, 2016.
